Okay. You’re hearing about ships being alive. You’re not a navigator, you don’t know anything about this. But now you’re being asked to vote on if they should be considered people. So, what is a Capital […]

Phaelos III: Stardust Shipping and the 17 Hands
The Pearl Ambassador was the ship that originally re-discovered Phaelos III and provided information to Enterios to lead a colonization effort. The ship belonged to Stardust Shipping, an emerging company that sought to provide services across the galaxy.
Letters Behind the Blockade: Thoughts on the Gyra and the Ancient’s Wisdom
I served in the Homeworld War. I was at the second Battle of the Yards. And I watched Gyr burn. At the time I was devastated. It was an attack without honor by a man who had none.
I always felt the Gyra were a good and decent people. They didn’t deserve this. And seeing so many on my ship die and watching an entire people’s planet boil, I found it hard to cope. In my time of darkness, I turned to the light. The Order of Dawn became a good part of my life.
The Commitment by the Galactic League to Sovereign Immunity
When we look back at the Galactic League and it’s attempts to influence the direction of Phaelos III, we come across Princess Mos Lara Kan, Ancillary Consul of the Galactic League, attempting to influence things from afar.
Messages from Nyr Fan, Representative of the Gyra Refugees
One influential person during the early days of New Gyr, back when it was Phaelos III, was Ryl Nyr-Fan, representative of the 20 million Gyra refugees and member of the Silent Conversation.
She spoke to the colonists that Gyr was still a political force and sought to have the Gyra treated as a political entity and worthy of respect. She also requested that they be listened to.
In Memoriam: Speaker Fen Ga-ryn
The following was written by current Speaker Arlanna Ryf-av:
As we begin to celebrate 30 years of this grand experiment, we must take the time to remember the person who put their heart, sweat, and mind toward first dreaming and then designing this celebration: Fen Ga-ryn, our speaker of nine years, almost a third of the time our new land has existed.
New Gyr’s 30th Annivesary: A Welcome from the Speaker
The following is a message from Speaker Arlanna Ryf-av:
As Speaker of the Silent Conversation, I want to welcome all of you to our commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the founding of New Gyr. We have worked hard to put together an event that recalls our past but looks towards the future; that reflects the diversity of our land and its people; and that emphasizes our commitments to inclusion and fair treatment of all – be they Innate, Evos, or Augment; be they Dawnlighter or Follower of the Tides. We are looking forward to a joyful, hopeful, peaceful celebration, and we hope that you all will join with us in that spirit.
The Life and Death of Ya-rett
Arlann Ya-rett was born on Gyr. He was killed while attempting to steal an Commonwealth Capital Ship, which was successfully captured by his Agerran confederate Admiral Therra. The things that happened between these two events are open to debate and interpretation, but it cannot be denied that they had a resounding effect felt across the entire galaxy from the thriving homeworld of New Gyr to the now continuously blockaded Aggere. As we look back at the history of New Gyr’s founding, we must examine the life and history of Ya-rett.
Letters Behind the Blockade: A Father’s Grief for Three Children
To the Galaxy at Large,
I had three children once.
My eldest daughter was a researcher and on a surface installation outside of one of the larger caves in the southern hemisphere of Agerre. She was had a brilliant mind and was very gifted, finishing her advanced studies on Baryos two years early. She returned to our homeworld to study the plant and animal life with some new theories about making life-saving medicines. She was killed in an orbital bombardment when Admiral Therra returned.
Flying High as a Kite in Phaelos III’s Early Days
Kite is an illegal drug in the form of a small, red, fish-shaped candy that, when ingested, produces a significant high in the user. The feeling of being “as high as a kite” is where its name originates. When the first colonists arrived on New Gyr, what was then simply Phaelos III, it became very apparent that the little red fish had swam along with them.
